fifteen days of initiating fifteen conversations over fifteen cups of coffee
“Coffee Talk” is a book that was created in October of 2009 that stemmed from my daily task of sitting down with complete strangers and sharing a cup of coffee and a conversation every day for two consecutive weeks. The series evolved out of a deep fascination with one-on-one interaction, the boundless possibilities (and unpredictability) of engaging strangers and, of course, a love for coffee. The ink and coffee wash portraits were done on site during these conversations.
“Coffee Talk” was exhibited from January – October 2010 at Kiva Han on Craig Street of Pittsburgh, PA.
