Natural History
Stemming from a childhood love of everything natural and crawling, it only made sense that my love of art and nature would bring me to the Natural History museum on weekends growing up, and collecting insects to draw. After getting a chance to actually work beside a scientific illustrator at the Carnegie Museum of Natural History, and spending a two summers in Chautauqua as an artist in residence where I was surrounded by nature, I was motivated to move from my small sketchbook doodles to making actual works.
